A World With No Heroes.
Ubisoft.
What does a virtual world look like
before the players arrive?
A World With No Heroes” is a virtual documentary, capturing the life already programmed inside the game before its release. 8 hours of footage. 50 in-game cameras. A country already under cartel control before a single player entered the map. A new form of branded content blurring the line between reality and the virtual.

A Documentary On
a Virtual World.
Through a beta version of Ghost Recon Wildlands, we explored the game like war reporters documenting a real country. Observing daily life, cartel influence and population behaviour before bringing back 8 hours of in-game documentary footage.
50 virtual cameras observing a virtual population through daily life, rituals and cartel violence. Turning the map of Ghost Recon Wildlands into a world that felt disturbingly real.
By confronting audiences with the consequences of the cartel on a virtual population, the project created an urgent need for players to intervene.
A new kind of content
50 Virtual Cameras.
