To launch PayPal+, we transformed financial benefits into comedy. Starring Will Ferrell in a dual role, the campaign turned cashback, rewards and payment flexibility into an absurd battle between smart decisions and terrible instincts. Instead of explaining financial features, PayPal+ made people feel the difference between paying and paying smarter. Bringing humour, entertainment and cultural energy back into a category usually trapped in functional banking language.
